Today is the last day of 2012, and looking back, I really have no complaints about what the whole year has brought me and my family. The ups (and even the downs!), have made it a truly fantastic year to remember.

I seriously feel like every year gets better and better. Who knew that by approaching my mid 30’s, I would think that?? I can say with all honesty, I love where I am today, more than I did being a 21 year old.
Of course I get sentimental that my children are another year closer to 16 (what happened to celebrating those 1st birthdays??), I get annoyed with how quickly my gray hairs pop up now after just coloring them, and I can’t believe another year has passed without buying window treatments for my 7 year old home, but those are all insignificant things.
On the flip side, I am soaking up how cool and fun my kids are as they become tiny adults, but with a care free attitude unlike an adult! I am thankful for the wonderful strides made in at home hair color, and that I actually can cover up those grays with something! And maybe my windows have just been waiting for the right “accessory” to dress them up and I will continue enjoying seeing clearly outside until then.

This was obviously the place to party and a great year! Ha!
As for resolutions, I don’t make them. I can’t give you a concrete reason why, but maybe it’s because I don’t want to disappoint myself if I don’t follow through with them. One thing that I can say for certain though, and label it a beauty resolution if you will…
I will continue to experiment with makeup
and never feel guilty about trying to better myself through the art of makeup.
FACT: I’m getting older, I need a little more help.
And if that help comes in the latest and greatest tube or compact, so be it.
And in the meantime, I will share my findings and thoughts with all of you!
This will be easy to follow through with because of all of you that continue to come back to visit and support my blog. Without my readers, there would be NO JennySue Makeup. I’m heading into my 5th year of this and I can’t believe it!! One bonus of getting older and celebrating another year, is that I learn more and more every day and feel wiser for it. From the bottom of my heart, I thank each and every one of you for supporting me this past year. Cheers to making 2013 even more fabulous, especially our faces!!
