We spent this past weekend in the Tennessee mountains with my in-laws and my husband’s sisters family. With 5 children under the age of 7, in a 3 story house, with 3 flights of stairs, we tried to stay OUT and as busy as possible. Because if you’ve been around toddlers before, ALL they want to do is climb stairs to try and hurt themselves. Fun for them, not fun for the adults who have to chase them.

So despite the nice big cabin home we had to stay in, we wanted to pack in as many outside of the house activities as possible and see what all the smokey mountains had to offer. Here’s a look at what kind of memories we made…

*Beauty note : My skin was begging for moisture while we were this high up.
My skin, hair, and lips were super dry the whole time. I applied lots of my Botani olive oil serum on my face and tips of my hair along with layers of my EOS lip balm which also worked for my kiddos.

*Tourist highlight : The Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies was probably the highlight of the trip for me as an adult and the kids were fascinated by all of the sea creatures they could get so close to. This would be a must see if you are ever in this area. Truly a cool spectacle.

While vacations are fun and a nice break from the everyday routines, it’s always nice to be back in your own bed and not have a deer staring at you as you turn down the hallway. Ha!!
