There aren’t many looks I won’t try when it comes to experimenting with makeup. My latest attempt was at extremely bold and graphic colored shadow that took on a slightly futuristic look once completed…

I remember seeing a similar example of this type of pop of color on the eyes from an old Anna Sui 2012 fall collection on her models as shown below…

To get this look :
- I prepped the eye area with a lid primer (Too Faced Shadow Insurance) to keep the shadow sharp and from bleeding,
- drew my outline with a skinny tipped liner brush, here, and wet eye shadow (a blue shade from my big E.L.F. palette from Christmas),
- filled in the middle,
- lined my lower inner waterline with a white liner,
- applied mascara on upper and lower lashes.

Of course what makes this look so bold was the fact I kept the outline sharp and didn’t do any blending outside of the lines. But if this is a bit “out there in space” for you, you can still pull off the one bright shade but just blend the edges like crazy to make it soft and keep the color just below your crease to lash line.
