Whether you’re single or taken, Valentine’s Day is a day to celebrate LOVE. Love yourself, love your friends, love your dog, love your partner, love your precious indoor plants…the options are endless!
And what color immediately comes to mind when you think of the words >> Love and Valentine?? I think PINK.
I always love a good reason to dress up my face, and Valentine’s Day seems like the perfect excuse. You could go with the obvious sexy smokey eye of course or a bold red lip. But for today’s post, I want to keep the romantic-day-of-the-year-look, a bit more simple…
SHOP THE PRODUCTS :
My recommendation is to try the combo of PINK CHEEKS + PINK LIPS. Together they’re the perfect slightly monochromatic look that feels fresh, flirty, and not overdone. And no makeup artistry skill needed!
Here are two recent buzz-worthy purchases I’ve made, that I have seriously been swooning over in the pink category. And both of these products react to your personal Ph and body heat. So they aim to work for ALL skin tones!
You’ve most likely heard of both and been curious because of the hype surrounding both of them. So without further ado let me introduce you to each of them…
First is the iconic Dior Rosy Glow blush, $39. What’s the big deal about this blush? Well, it claims to be a color awakening, universally flattering blush that reacts to the moisture levels in your skin to give you an entirely bespoke rosy-hued finish. That’s a tall order right? And oooohhhh when I opened it up, those rows of D’s in an almost lavender-like pink shade had be breathless! It’s just that beautiful…
And it was made wildly popular when people “heard thru the grapevine” that Kylie Jenner’s makeup artist Ariel, always used it on her when he wanted to create that “babydoll glam” look. However, that has now been proven not so true here, but either way, it was a good PR story and certainly put all eyes on the now-popular Dior product!
So if you’d like to see for yourself how GOOD GREAT this pink blush is, just check my before and after to see how it lights up my complexion!
I was not initially a huge fan of spending the almost $40 on this blush, but now that I’ve worn it a bunch, it’s 100% worth every penny to me. I get the hype. It gives the prettiest statement pink cheeks – perfect for a cutie Cupid! I am of course already on the hunt for a dupe, so you’ll be the first to know when I do 😉
A Valentine’s Day makeup look isn’t complete without a sexy glossy lip, right??
Introducing my go-to Haus Labs by Lady Gaga PhD Lip oil in shade “Primary,” $24. Y’all know I’m into lip oils already (check this previous post) and I love this cherry reddish pink vibe this one gives my lips. Certainly, you’ve seen Lady Gaga herself swiping this on over on their Instagram right??
I like the simplicity of wearing this lip product with no lip liner – but you absolutely could if you wanted!
So there you have it – two must-have pink products that anyone can pull off this Valentine’s Day!
*P.S. Don’t forget the most awesome blush brush to apply your new Dior pink blush with. I’m infatuated with my Morphe Precision V106 brush, $18. It’s also perfect for placing highlighter with because it’s small head doesn’t overwhelm the face. I’m also wearing this Nabla shadow palette that I just can’t get enough of this winter! Check her out, she’s a beauty.
