I had originally been color matched with their Stay In Place High Cover concealer because the girl was raving on and on about how everyone in the cosmetics area (even artists from other lines!) buys it for themselves. But sadly once we figured out my color, she realized they were sold out, boo. But that’s okay, I’ll buy it next time. Because after trying out these two products, I am a firm believer in the Double Wear formulas!
I purposefully did not wear a primer underneath these products to start off with because I truly wanted to test their longevity and if they could work alone. And yep, they sure do. Check that one extra step of primer off your regime when you’re wearing these products! Hello time saving makeup!
My skin usually eats up foundation and concealer. I usually want to reapply within a couple of hours because I can see my bare skin peeking through. But this no-budge foundation truly stays for hours and hours with no fading or smearing whatsoever. It promises 15 hour wear on the box and I would say I got a good 10 hours out of it with no need for a touch up or powder. That’s truly phenomenal. And the concealer, wowza! It had mad staying power and covers like a boss. Both formulas are medium to heavy coverage in my opinion, and very build able. If you were looking for a sheer tinted moisturizer type finish, this formula is definitely not for you.
My overall thoughts : I’m super duper impressed and will totally be going back for more Double Wear once this bottle is empty. I like for my beauty moments to happen everyday, not just special occasions. And Double Wear gives me that feeling. Stop by an Estee Lauder counter and get them to color match you and give you a sample to try if you’re skeptical. You won’t be sorry, and you’ll be back to buy a full bottle after trying it on a whole day, I guarantee. I’d give it a 9 out of 10 rating.
