Yes it’s a definite trend and you might not see it again next year, but for now, it’s totally hot and I love it for summer! I mean it’s air conditioning for your upper body with the cut out shoulders!
This specific one I found at Target here (they have a ton right now!) and it’s loose enough with adjustable straps in the back to be so comfy but still girly and slightly sexy because of the added ruffle neck addition. And I do love a black and white print for ANY season.

I paired my cold shoulder top with these Topshop crocheted shorts I got last year but they’re back in stock they’re that good!! You can wear these shorts with tennis shoes or espadrilles like I am here. They’re lightweight and add a bit more sophistication to my tops than my cut off denim shorts I seem to be wearing all the time lately.
And to spruce up my trendy cold shoulder top, I added a hot pink bag and lip to it! Black, white, and pink go together like peanut butter and jelly right?! My bag is Vera Bradley from last year, but they have a newer similar style here or my fave backpack purse now comes in pink here! My lip is the NYX soft matte lip cream in “Paris.”
For accessories, you can’t beat these $12 aviators found at Nordstrom online that come in many other shades, and my layered necklace look with this Elisa Kendra Scott dainty necklace and my Stella & Dot lariat that can be worn 2 ways – wrapped as a bracelet or around the neck!
