How often do you look at your everyday makeup and think, “Hmmm, how can I make it better and more glamorous, without putting a ton of effort into it??”
Well I have a few simple ideas for easy ways to glam up your everyday makeup routine that don’t take up a whole lot of time. And this whole idea started when I signed on to try out a brand new livestream social media app called MeVee, where I showed viewers a few of my tricks with the help of my cute assistant (and daughter) Vivian! Here’s little more about MeVee…
MeVee is a social media live streaming platform that captures the can’t-miss moments. MeVee records your live videos – they won’t disappear unless you delete them. Vivian was SUCH a great helper, it warms my mommy heart:) Plus I am showing you a few additional pics and listing the products to show you how when added to your normal makeup, these things can really ramp up your glam factor!
- My favorite FALSE LASHES that look realistic when applied (nothing showgirl Vegas stye here) are Ardell “Demi Wispies” and Ardell #110 style. I use the Duo adhesive glue which is an all time cult favorite to apply them with. If they’re too long for your lash line, be sure to cut them from the outside. I talk about this on my lifestream:) Add a line of dark brown or black liner on top of your strip to really hide any excess glue and another coat of mascara to blend the lashes together!
- Quick SKIN FIX is this Maybelline Fit Me Shine Free FOUNDATION STICK. I have been keeping it in my purse for quick touchups that you literally just glide on over the spots of your face that aren’t looking so flawless. I’m wearing shade 120 in Classic Ivory – but to be honest, I could probably have gone one shade darker!
- A killer BOLD LIPSTICK. I chose a new red that I am so thrilled with after finding it on another mommy bloggers Instagram account (thanks Daily Craving!) and had to ask her what that beautiful shade was she was wearing in a bunch of her pics! She responded immediately, it’s Revlon Really Red 006, and it took me FOREVER to find it, but now that I did, it is a new fave of mine! (I linked it above to Ulta.com if you too have a hard time finding it in your local drugstore!) But if you are wanting to glam up your look in mere seconds, a bold rich lip is the easiest way to do that – choices are endless from red, fuchsia, deep berry, etc.
- And if you’ve got an extra 30 minutes (hey, while you’re driving or picking up toys around the house) add on a strip of Crest Glamorous White Strips. I talked about them in my MeVee but forgot to photograph them! It might seem not so important but I promise, a shiny bright white smile is an instant attraction!
