Sometimes large beauty retailers like Sephora, online and in-person, can be overwhelming to look through. You know you want to treat yourself to some new products with the additional discount, BUT you’re just not sure which ones are worth your hard earned money.
That’s where I hope this post will come in helpful for you since the sale just started on April 1st for Rouge members. But not to worry, it goes on until April 11th for everyone! Here’s how the tiers go and when you can take advantage of the discounts depending on your status with Sephora…

I consider it a ‘job requirement” as a professional makeup artist and a part-time beauty blogger to be up to date on the latest in beauty! Therefore I want to share my findings with you of what I’ve tried and liked from brands found at Sephora. I’ll be separating my all-time favorite products that I know and love by categories to make it a bit easier for you to hopefully find what you’re looking for. *Click on the product pictures to go straight to the site*
We will start with SKINCARE CARE OF COURSE…
Supergoop Unseen Sunscreen, $36. The best of both worlds – SPF protection AND skin primer + pore blur-er!
Isle of Paradise Self Tanning Drops, $32. Add as many drops as you need to turn your favorite skin moisturizer into a face tanner!
Brazilian Bum Bum Cream, $48. Your skin has never felt softer and the smell is outta this world exotic and warm like a tropical beach!
Paula’s Choice BHA Liquid Exfoliant, $32. Want smoother, less textured skin?? You’ll get it with this iconic toner – you won’t be sorry you invested in this.
The Ordinary HA 2% + B5 Hydrating Serum, $7.50. You won’t believe how much plumper your skin will be just by using this serum before your moisturizer for under $10. Worth a shot with over 537K 4.5 star reviews!
OleHenriksen Banana Bright Eye Creme, $40. It’s got vitamin C and collagen boosting properties with the brightening effect of an inclued banana yellow color you wear under your concealer.
Now let’s move on to my favorite LIP PRODUCTS. This isn’t typically a category of makeup I suggest dropping a bunch of money on but these few lippies are totally worth it.
Tarte Maracuja Juicy lip balm, $21. It’s hard to explain what warrants spending over $20 on a lip color but these tarte click pens are worth every penny for their mega shiny color payoff that feels like the most hydrating and cushiony lip balm ever! My fave colors are Hibiscus and Coconut (wearing this shade above).
Rare Beauty Matte Lip Souffle Cream Lipstick, $20. I own this unbelievably comfortable matte formula lip product in a few shades and I’ve never felt anything like it. So velvety smooth and never drying. If you love a matte finish but hate that drying feel that usually comes with it, try this formula for sure.
GXVE “I’m Still Here Longwear Matte Lipstick” $24. The queen of red lips herself Gwen Stefani designed her perfect red matte lip and this is it. Truly a gorgeous universal red shade I reviewed on my YouTube video here. A close second red lip that works for most skin tones is Fenty Beauty’s Lip Stunna Paint also mentioned on the video in “Uncensored.” It was hard for me to choose!!
Sephora Collection Ultra Shine Lip Gloss, $12. It’s 30% off and gets amazing reviews and plenty of colors to choose from so you don’t have to pick just one to afford! This is the time to try a bold spring/summer shade like a hot pink or purple gloss. Need a great smooth lip liner to match any of the above? The Sephora gel lip liners are perfect at only $13 a piece.
Moving forward to FACE PRODUCTS…
Laura Mercier Loose Setting Powder, $39. Comes in a variety of shades – I use the translucent on myself and the medium/deep on my darker skin-toned clients. This is the holy grail of setting powders. Definitely take advantage of getting it on sale while you can.
Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze & Glow Contour Palette, $68. It’s not cheap, but it’s worth it! I’ve bought this a couple times because it’s just the most gorgeous bronzing and highlighter duo in one palette. The glow you get from the highlighter is def more on the golden side so if you’re super fair skinned, this might not be for you. But light to medium skin tones will love it!
Rare Beauty Soft Pinch Liquid Blush, $20. A truly innovative formula with major staying power and looks so beautiful as it soaks into the cheeks. I love this product so much, especially for more mature skin that looks better with less powdery blush products. I show you how it looks in action on YouTube here.
Foundation-wise, there are a few ways to go. My full coverage pick would be the Lancome 24 Hr. Teint Idole, $48. Then I’m dying to try the Ilia liquid skin tint with SPF 40, $48 that gets so much love for its skin-like appearance but better! Also, I’ll never tire of the It Cosmetics CC creams, $42 now with a nude glow addition!
Lancome Teint Idole Ultra Wear Concealer, $29. I’m obsessed with this concealer for more mature skin. Barely creases at all, feels amazing, not too heavy but definitely full coverage. So many shade options! I talked about my love this formula on YouTube here.
Benefit’s Fouroscope Fire Queen Palette, $36. You get the iconic Hoola bronzer plus two blushes and a highlighter all in one spot!
I dig a good highlighter and my top choices would be this cream Hourglass stick for ease of application and less mess or the gorgeous shade options of Bobbi Brown powders. Also, the Charlotte Tilbury Flawless Filter is a great highlighter and primer in one for a luminous glow worn alone or underneath your fave foundation!
Last but not least, my choices for EYES…
There are WAY too many beautiful shadow palettes to choose from! So I just created a couple carousels above of some of my faves that range from small to huge palettes, then easy neutrals to pops of fun colored ones!
