Heat & Humidity Proof Makeup I Use In the Summer

Raise your hand if you wear makeup to the beach and/or the pool?? *Raises hand high for both!!*

I know it seems counterproductive, but for me, I like wearing makeup no matter what the temperature or environment may be. It just makes me feel good.

But of course, I know that the sand, sun rays, and salt can be a real doozy on the face. Luckily I have used a few products over time that I have found can withstand the heat and humidity that Georgia throws my way.

That’s why I wanted to make this YouTube video so that I could share my findings with you all! (I’m sure I’m not the only one who literally feels like their face could be melting off in the 90 plus degree heat!

For summer makeup in general, it is best to find products that end up being a nice balance between :  sweat resistant AND looking natural enough. 

So no need to go completely bare-faced!! The key to looking good despite the hot and humid elements is to keep it minimal, but definitely enhance your features.

BEST SUMMER BROW PRODUCT

The Glossier Brow Flick Pen, $18

Creates super skinny realistic brow-like hairs and stays put, unlike any other brow pen I’ve tried! I have to work to get it off at night! I’m wearing shade “brown.”

BEST SUMMER SKIN PRIMER (with the bonus of SPF!)

SuperGoop! Unseen Sunscreen, $34

Feels like silk going on, is super lightweight, and when worn underneath foundation, acts like a grip to hold it in place!

BEST SUMMER FOUNDATION 

it Cosmetics CC Cream SPF 50, $38

I’ve used this color-correcting product for years now. It’s not as heavy as a foundation, but gives more coverage than a tinted moisturizer. The SPF 50 and the anti-aging hydrating serum included is a HUGE bonus for mature skin.

BEST SUMMER EYELINER 

Revlon Colorstay eyeliner, $6: 

Bonus points for being waterproof, coming in 6 different shades, and easily smudges to a smooth finish.

BEST SUMMER MASCARA 

Maybelline Colossal waterproof mascara, $8 

I tend to only buy drugstore mascara and have found this Colossal in the waterproof version to be amazing! I use it on brides for their big day as well when there tends to be waterwork tears of joy!!

BEST SUMMER BLUSH 

Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush

Better, longer, truer wear for a powder blush! Contains Vitamin E too that acts like an emollient and antioxidant. This 9 piece collection of super wearable shades of bronzers, blush, and a couple highlighters is a mega steal for only $25 (value of $171)

BEST SUMMER LIP BALM (with SPF of course!)

Neutrogena Lip balm with SPF (wearing petal glow), $6.

Your lips are super sensitive to the sun and often get ignored when it comes to SPF. Now you can get subtle color, while also adding major moisture while protecting your pout! Comes in 4 shades.
