It has always been one of my biggest struggles in life…ORGANIZATION!
And with being a professional makeup artist + beauty blogger, one of my largest category of ‘things’ in my life that seem to take over my home, are my beauty products.
Today I’m sharing a video with you on 3 simple ways I make the most of organizing and storing multiple small things like eye pencils, lip pencils, and nail polishes. Click on the arrow within the video to watch then keep reading below for a recap and links to products.
Organizing Hacks From The Video.
A lot of our beauty organization needs happen within the bathroom. And since bathrooms are typically small, you need functional hacks that will give you more storage for all the things!
- DIY NAIL SALON WALL
Shop these acrylic shelves :
Some walls rarely get used and left bare, but they can be great places to store things you might not need daily. A clear acrylic shelf with a front lip (usually used for childrens books to keep them from falling off the shelf) are a neat way to organize your various nail colors. And if you’re like me you have a TON of them! This makes them easy to display and when put in the rainbow pattern (ROY G BIV) it actually makes for a fun way to visually decorate your bare walls. Plus you can easily see what colors you have available (and maybe which colors you are missing and need to treat yourself to!).
2. LIP LINER TOOL BOX.

In my line of work, I own a lot lip liners. And if they’re thrown in a bag, it’s hard to differentiate which one is which because they’re all so close in shades. But with a simple sectioned clear pencil box (I found mine in the art supply section of Hobby Lobby) I can separate the nudes, pinks, reds, darks, etc. And bc it’s sectioned off, if the box tips over, they don’t mix up!! This could also be used to separate and organization of hygiene items like Qtips, sponges, cotton rounds, disposable mascara wands, etc.
3. EYELINER (OR BRUSH) ROLL.

You can turn a canvas brush roll (meant for paint brushes) into an inexpensive way to store all of your eyeliners, or lip liners, or even mascaras! The open face once you roll it out allows you to easily see all the colors and formulas (liquid liners and pencils) you have packed in it. Plus it keeps them nice and secured and once rolled up, takes up little to no space!
