Who wants to kill two birds with one stone during their makeup routine? (*raises both hands high into the air!*)
Well I’ve got just the makeup hack for you that will UP your face value but take DOWN the time you spend on your face.
I’ll get right to it…
Use your bronzer as the perfect brown/neutral eyeshadow!
Think about it, if you’ve found the right bronzer for your cheeks, hairline, and neck (where all bronzer can go) why wouldn’t it look just as fabulous on your eye beds?? It’s perfectly simple and looks so fresh faced. I mean you might as well try it since you’re already using it on your face! Go ahead and keep it out for the eyeshadow and BOOM! Immediate time saver.

And you can wear a shimmery bronzer or a matte bronzer…both work. Although I do prefer a matte bronzer for all over the face because it tends to look more realistic like a nice suntan. But the finish is totally up to you. If you want to go one with shimmer, make it super low key like this Too Faced one that smells like yummy chocolate (no kidding) but looks beautiful on.
Where it goes : I’ll first apply a light ivory shadow (or any light color that’s like 2-3 shades LIGHTER than your skintone) under my brow bone then from my lash line to my crease.
Then I’ll take the bronzer and sweep it right along my eye socket crease area to create warmth and depth. Sometimes I’ll even sweep it along my lower lash line for the subtlest of smokey eye. For my eye socket area I like to use a small dome shaped shadow brush like this one.
Product-wise, I am loving this Makeup Revolution Mega Bronzer. I bought it in shade “cool” so as not to get any orangey vibes! It kinda reminds me of my original Benefit Hoola bronzer that’s so good. However, the MR one is $6 and the Benefit one is $30! Can you say amazing DUPE??
For application of my bronzer all over my face I prefer this Scott Barnes one (you know, JLo’s makeup artist!) that will help sculpt and diffuse your bronzer over your entire face. It feels soooo soft and luxurious.
It’s that easy and look how cohesive it makes your entire face look! Have you tried this little trick yet?
(P.S. I am wearing this lovely bronze eyeliner by NYX that went with the shadow and this amazing lip plumping gloss by City Beauty in “Sun Diego.”)
