During these hot summer days, wearing makeup, especially foundation, is pretty much the last thing we want to think about wearing!
Looking like a melting mess is what scares us most. But let’s be honest, sometimes bare, broken out, blotchy skin is worse than skin with NO makeup help at all! So what’s a girl to do when it’s 90+ degrees in Georgia but wants her skin to look flawless??
Well I’ve got a budget foundation that has proven to do just what it says on the tube – to be INFALLIBLE, even in the heat! Check out today’s video to see more about my latest find in L’Oreal Infallible Pro Matte 24Hr foundation, $12.99. ( I even put it to the test playing kickball with my kids!!)
This is my pick for sweat-proof, lightweight, and a truly long-lasting foundation. No I haven’t tested a true 24 hours, but if def gets me through the day! Humidity and the heat are always a challenge for me but this one has truly surprised me with it’s staying power.
I even got a response from another blogger on my Instagram account when I posted about this product saying that she was a true believer in it too!
Foundation : L’Oreal Infallible Pro Matte 24 Hr. in shade #103 // Duo foundation + concealer brush : it Cosmetics No 7 // White Ruffle Swimsuit options : Free People – ASOS – Macys
I even wore this foundation during my recent trip to Mexico around the pool! No kidding. Just a light layer of course but totally worked throughout the days we were there! TIP : You have to add an SPF underneath it though because it does not contain one!
Like I shared in the video, I like to apply my makeup with my it Cosmetics Heavenly Luxe brush that works for foundations on one side and then concealers on the other. It’s one of those brushes that is a small investment at $48, but worth every penny in my book. It applies makeup with airbrush-like finish! Complete blog post I did highlighting it HERE.
Stats on this best budget foundation :
- Finish : demi matte finish – it’s not totally matte or dewy, a great in between
- Colors : it comes in 12 shades. I am using #103 at the moment
- Texture & Coverage : it’s pretty lightweight – not as lightweight as a tinted moisturizer but not heavy like most longwear formulas I’ve worn. It says it’s medium coverage and I would agree with that.
