Happy Labor Day Weekend everyone!
How are you spending it?
Mine will consist of equal parts Football + Fashion Week.
I’m MOST excited for the first college football game this Saturday for the University of Georgia (my alma mater!), even though I’m not actually going TO the game. My boys and hubby are attending but me and the Viv are going to stick it at home to watch from the comfort of the couch with friends. I like the outfit of the girl in red and black from the Coach ad because she’s wearing Georgia colors. Although these models don’t look like they have very much school spirit do they?? Ha Ha Ha!
Go Dawgs!
You will also see me in red lipstick EVERY saturday the bulldawgs have a game. Head to the following post to see some of my fave red lipsticks here + a video.
I love college football mainly for the excuse to eat really naughty tailgate food and drink mimosas at noon. My staple appetizer to make for pre-game festivities are these ham and cheese rolls here. They are melt in your mouth deliciousness. This is the time of year all I do is spend too much time on Pinterest looking up un-healthy recipes. Are you following me on PINTEREST yet by the way? I need some new people to follow too.
And New York Fashion Week 2016.
I am headed back to NYC with my same group of mama bloggers above, Lauren, Jessica, and Tara, so I know it will be an awesome and very busy 5 days of fashion week according to our Google spreadsheets of parties, presentations, PR visits, and shows! Yes, we had to make spreadsheets to keep everything organized to know where we are going.
aanaannd packing.
This weekend will also consist of ‘hopefully’ me finalizing some of what I am packing for my trip to New York Fashion Week next Thursday.
Honestly I detest packing so I keep putting off deciding what I’m going to wear as if it will all just pack itself if I ignore it! Doubtful right? It’s tough to plan on what to wear when you’re going to shows that are featuring Spring and Summer clothing, but it’s the fall season, but still feels like summer in NYC. Insert monkey with hands over eyes emoji.
I want to do a good job of mixing a few new things with some more “vintage” closet finds. Meaning stuff I already own. Because fashion is cyclical right?? It all comes back around. And thank goodness I still have some bell sleeved dresses in my closet from years ago that will be busted out.
So far I have bought 3 new staple pieces : a flare leg denim, black platforms, and a cream faux leather jacket.
