I was born in the late 70’s but never really got to wear the fashions during that time because, well I was only 2 years old up until 1980! But now I am currently loving a shape of denim that used to make me really nervous – flare leg jeans. So now in 2016, I guess you could say I’m digging this 70’s fashion revival of sorts.
These Free People high waisted flares definitely give that effortless chic 1970’s Charlies Angels vibe. Can we talk about how good the pockets are on these??
I decided to pair these jeans with the cutest off the shoulder lace top that comes in a bunch of other colors. Thinking I need the color garnet next since it’s under $40. And I just had to include the pic of fashion icon Bianca Jagger in a similar style top from the 70’s! These pics show that fashion is definitely cyclical.
To finish off my look I added my Target platforms (they’re hard to see under the bells), choker, and my new obsession, the oxblood backpack. A combination I really can’t get enough of. I just love oxblood and the mustard color together! What is it about the 70’s fashion combos that make you feel so freaking cool??
Now it’s time to get ready for the weekend full of wedding makeup jobs, Georgia football, and partying for a friend who is turning 40! Everyone have a happy and safe weekend!
