A stylish weekend stay in Atlanta Georgia.
Just what the doctor ordered for a few of us hard working blogger mamas. A few weekends ago, my blogger babes, Lauren, Tara, and Jessica, (their blogs at the bottom of this post – check them out!) and myself enjoyed a super fun evening night out hosted by the hip W Midtown in Atlanta. There is nothing better to recharge your batteries than a good ole night out on the town with friends…am I right?!
I happened to arrive before the other three gals (who were driving in from Hilton Head) and was immediately greeted by the nicest and most accommodating hotel staff EVER. What better way to perk up from my hour long drive in from Athens than with (of all things!) a complimentary late afternoon Red Bull shot upon entering! Nice touch W Hotel. Walking into our three room suite for the first time, literally gave me chill bumps! The suite was so incredibly chic. It was a two bedroom, two bath, with a stunning view of the city of Atlanta. It also included a a living room attached to a dining area, what more could a group of ladies ask for??
Being a makeup artist I immediately noticed and appreciated – the huge mirrors with awesome lighting! Which made for excellent makeup and hair touchups!
Girls gotta shop at Shops Around Lenox.
After the girls arrived, we all changed and headed downstairs to the bar where we listened to an awesome one man guitarist and had drinks with Byron (the host with the most-est from the W) who filled us in on the exciting things happening around the hotel and updates they had done recently. They have a super cute patio you can enjoy drinks on but we had to stick inside due to some drizzly rain. (But no worries, I went back 2 weeks later for another cocktail hour with the ladies of The Blog Societies and got to hang outside and enjoy a little champagne and appies!!)
I asked Byron what his job description was and he said, “to make sure ALL of our guest at the W have a great and memorable time.” Well man, you are very good at your job.
Here’s a photo of my 2nd visit to the W Hotel where I enjoyed twirling around the grounds.
We then headed out to do what ladies do best together – GO SHOPPING!!
Of course when you’re in Atlanta, you must hit the Shops Around Lenox. I ended up being totally blown away by my shopping experience at Luna where Margo the salesperson, took time to listen to exactly what I needed and delivered (a casual but cute outfit for an upcoming birthday party). Perfect. Luna carries cool contemporary brands we all know and love like Alice and Trixie, Joie, and Hudson denim. I ended up with an awesome pair of white distressed ankle jeans by J.Brand and two tops to go with them! (Blog post on my purchase from Luna to come)
Luna’s accessories selection is bananas!! It’s so good and there is so much to choose from! It would be the perfect spot to buy that gift for a girlfriend, mom, sister, or anyone really!

Girls gotta eat at ‘Establishment’ in Atlanta.
Shopping makes you hungry and thirsty, so after we shopped til we almost dropped, the four of us went to dine at Establishment in Midtown. This hot spot which is conveniently located right near the W Midtown, was the perfect place for a casual and fun night out with friends! Their amazing selection of unique cocktails coupled with the most delicious food ever, made these four ladies more than happy (and full) by the time we left. Insider tip : When you visit this place, do NOT leave without having the baked goat mac and cheese. I am still dreaming about it.
As if the food and drink weren’t impressive enough, the staff at Establishment was also top notch and super attentive. A waiter can make or break a restaurant experience, and ours MADE it very special and enjoyable.

Girls gotta sleep.
Being able to just walk back to our hotel room from the restaurant made it so easy and stress free to get straight into our pajamas and hit each of our comfy beds. When you have 4 moms together, they all feel the same when away from the stresses of home, they just want a good nights sleep!! Ha! And guess what was awaiting us at the end of our night once we got back to the suite – the most delicious chocolate covered strawberries a girl could ask for. It’s the little details that hotels have the ability to do that make them really stand out in terms of service.
I had an early morning wedding to work the next day back in Athens, so unfortunatley I didn’t get to enjoy the best bed in the world for very long. However, the W Midtown DID have complimentary coffee waiting for me at 6am on my way out! Again, those small details that make a BIG impression.
Big thank you goes to W Atlanta Midtown, Shops around Lenox, and Establishment for sponsoring our fabulous girls night out in Atlanta! And to Kitsy Rose PR for coordinating our time in the city. It was a truly fun and fabulous getaway.
Check out my roommates >> Tara of JimmyChoosandTennisShoesblog.com, Lauren of EditbyLauren.com, and Jessica of LipstickHeelsandABaby.net. Luckily we are all four heading out for another adventure together in a month to Miami for Swim Week!
The only bummer about that whole experience – was that it was only for one night!!
