Easy gym makeup & simple home workouts.
In this video episode of the #JSMminute, I switch things up with a special guest and fitness theme! The backdrop is held in TransFit Athens, a women’s only workout studio located right here in my city of Athens, GA with its owner and fitness expert Caroline Ward. I have known Caroline for years and have always admired her passion for living a healthier life through exercise and nutrition.
Caroline is also a mom of three (just like me!) and a former gymnast from the University of Georgia, so she knows a thing or two about needing stamina to get through the day! And remaining energetic means you have to incorporate exercise into your daily life. Plain and simple. We are also quickly approaching swimsuit suit season, so there’s even more motivation to get moving!!
So it wouldn’t be true to my beauty blog if we didn’t talk a little bit of makeup, right?!
Now I am not telling anyone that you should wear makeup when you workout. It’s totally a personal preference. But if you’re anything like me, and just can’t stand to be seen out in public with a bare face, then you do have options for a quick gym makeup face.
Shoot, these are great ideas for the makeup minimalist who doesn’t even plan on working out but wants a quick easy face fix!
I show you on Caroline some products you could choose from to work on any trouble spots :
- light skin coverage with a BB Cream
- under eye circles can benefit from a stay put concealer (nothing stays put better than Estee Lauder Double Wear Concealer)
- neutral shimmer shadows like gold or champagne on eyelids
- waterproof mascara
- and a cream blush that doubles as a lip tint! (this Bobbi Brown Pot Rouge is my fave)
3 simple home workouts you can d0…without being in the gym!
I’m known for walking around the gym looking confused. And I’m also known for skipping the gym when I shouldn’t. So luckily, the tables turn as Caroline walks me through 3 quick workouts that anyone can do to keep fit, anywhere. (I do my best not to look exhausted while she makes me demo these moves, hahaha!)
Stay tuned until the end of the episode to also hear Caroline offer up some tasty and healthy ingredients to use in your next “Power Smoothie.”
I hope this encourages women that we can be strong and feel beautiful all at the same time.
Big thanks to Caroline for having me in her studio and be sure to check her out on social media! She posts some great quick workout tips, recipes, and inspiration over on her Instagram and Facebook pages.
And even if you don’t live in Athens (or even the state of Georgia) you can still get the benefit of Caroline’s expertise through her online consulting for nutrition planning and online training. Click here to visit her site >> TransFitAthens.com
Okay, who is motivated to get moving now?!!
