I am happy to bring you a second edition of “Styled Three Ways” featuring my local Athens blogger babes, Molly & Elizabeth. This time we are showing you how to wear these versatile and comfy DL1961 denim leggings (c/o) in your 20’s, 30’s, and 40’s!
I live in denim leggings (aka, “jeggings” -jean leggings combo) and have particularly been wearing this Emma Power Leggings style (currently 25% off-sizes going fast!) a whole lot this fall transitioning into winter because they’re just so darn comfortable. Comfortable you say?? YES – VERY!
These leggings can easily be worn as jeans because they actually LOOK like jeans from the outside, but are super stretchy and comfy on the inside!
When you think leggings, stop thinking workout wear, yoga pants, or mom uniform. This mama pairs them with heels to give a dressed up edge to them! (No I did not link these pointy toed heels because they are from like ten years ago, seriously. There are just some shoes you can’t get rid of.)
You don’t have to stray from your style when wearing denim leggings. I like to dress up all of my casual clothing all of the time because well, I own more casual clothes in my closet than fancy. Rarely do my husband and I have a reason to get super dressed up with three kids and a dog in the house. And that’s okay. But that also doesn’t mean I need to make my leggings look frumpy!
Elements I styled with my denim leggings to jazz them up:
- a fitted single button coat (with the sleeves rolled to give it some flair)
- fun printed tee
- a blingy statement necklace (this item can be worn a multitude of ways also!)
- purple eyeliner to add a pop of color to my neutral look (NYX studio liquid liner in “extreme purple”
- my favorite satchel bag (also comes in a rich tobacco shade)
From wearing them with a poncho like Elizabeth, or an animal print vest like Molly, there are so many options for incorporating this trend into you closet. And the gray color is a great spin on the regular boring blue denim shade you come to expect.
I hope you are going to have a great weekend – what are your plans?? I have a very busy day of makeup jobs on Saturday then a housewarming holiday party for a friend on Sunday taking the whole fam. But it’s supposed to be 75 degrees here over the weekend?? What?? That isn’t Christmas weather to me but my husband told me to be thankful it’s not raining and 30 degrees:) I guess he’s right.
