It’s finally sweater weather!! Last weekend we took a quick fun family trip with my parents to the mountains of Blue Ridge, Georgia and we could not have gotten luckier with the weather. It was clear as could be all weekend (Instagram worthy blue skies) and just cold enough to feel like the holidays and winter are on their way. The warm temps have just not felt like Thanksgiving is going to be here this week so I welcomed this cool air we experienced! Even Taco suited up with a sweater from Martha Stewarts doggie collection!
We did lots of relaxing, eating, walking around the cute down town of Blue Ridge, visited a huge apple orchard called Mercier Orchards, and played some putt-putt. The house we stayed in had a huge basement with an air hockey table ( one of my favorite games), dart board and a Wii where my kids played multiple hours of Wii Dance Party over and over again! And thank goodness we had the grandparents present, because Scott and I got to actually got to relax a little more than usual with the extra set of hands on deck!
Since I knew it was going to be chilly, I went looking specifically for a chunky turtleneck sweater and found this blush colored one that was the perfect weight and warmth for the breezy temps. It was even the right amount for my wallet – only $22! I am now on the look out for some other affordable chunky sweaters and found some from Forever21 that I am sharing with you below, all under $40!! Sweaters make great gifts right??
