HAPPY & FABULOUS. The two Hallmark Signature Style cards shown here, are simple words that reflect how I strive to feel about myself all day, everyday! They’re also words that when I would give a card to a girlfriend or family member, is exactly how I would want them to feel when they receive it!
This a fairly new collection of greeting cards from Hallmark that are super stylish, chic, unique, and inspired my look I’m sharing with you today!
I love putting together outfits. I can find inspiration just about anywhere – and it usually starts with what color of lipstick I want to wear that day. Really. If I want to feel happy and cheerful, I’m going to go hot pink, like Nars “Schiapp,” which is what I’m wearing in this post! Y’all know I can’t get enough of this shade. If I need to build confidence for the day because I’m doing something out of my comfort zone, I’ll go red lipstick (think this recent post). And then if it’s a relaxed easy day at home with the kids or working from my home office, a neutral gloss will do (example here).
But you will NEVER find me without lipstick, ever.
So once I decide to pick out my outfit for the day, I would describe my everyday signature style as “colorful and funky.” Of course I can get bored with my current closet situation, so the way I make my wardrobe fun again without buying a ton of new stuff is by incorporating an inexpensive piece (think jewelry or bright lipstick!) with a more expensive item(s) in the mix (that must have handbag like my pink Vera Bradley or a pair of shoes) OR by getting creative.
Creative prime example, – this DIY denim vest. I took a denim jacket I found on sale at Target for $8, what??, and made my own denim vest which I’ve been wanting for awhile. Sure you can buy a store b bought denim vest, but when you find a jacket that is 3x times cheaper than the store bought vest, you buy it and just cut off the sleeves, wash it, and voila!
I’m old school, to where I really get into giving people actual cards for special occasions. There are a ton of greeting cards out there, but holding one of these Hallmark Signature Style cards is like holding a tiny piece of artwork!! After you read them, you can totally buy a frame, pop it in there, and use it to spruce up your home, office, or hang on a wall!
