Pacifica is one of those brands I had heard of before and I knew was a cruelty free brand, but honestly wasn’t too familiar with anything other than that. So when I was sent two of their newest products chosen from the Made To Matter Collection available exclusively at Target, I was very excited to see what Pacifica Beauty was really all about!
The first thing that caught my eye was the stunningly beautiful packaging that is made of recycled goods and printed with soy ink. So when I’m finished with my shadow palette, I can throw it in my recycling bin – How environmentally friendly is that?! The Pacific brand is 100% vegan (which I looked up bc I wasn’t exactly sure what that meant) and that means their products are free from any animal products or by products. Ingredients that fall into that category are mineral oil, lanolin, peanut oil, gluten, just to name a few, and these Pacifica products aren’t having any of that! They focus on on plant based and mineral based ingredients instead and no animal testing whatsoever. That’s true beauty.
So can beauty products without all of those things really perform?? Well here is a glimpse at the Pacifica Power Of Love eyeshadow palette, $19.99, and the eye makeup look I created with it. I think you’ll find that yes, it is possible to get gorgeous with these compassionate products…
I used 6 of the 10 shades in this Power Of Love palette on my eyes. Incredible right?? I wet my eyeliner brush with water in hopes to create a deeper color payoff to use the purple shade as eyeliner and it worked like a charm!! Overall, these shadows are super velvety and the options of shimmery, matte, and pearl shades make for a gorgeous combination to work with. They are very soft shades which blend easily, so this is a great palette for even young girls to start off wearing or any woman that is terrified of shadows that come on too bold and vibrant. These give off a more au- natural vibe!
And the Coco Pure makeup remover wipes, $6.99, smell like pure beachy coconut bliss!! They are composed of coconut milk, jojoba oil, and aloe vera, so they are super gentle and full of yummy goodness. Now, if you wear really heavy makeup or waterproof mascara (as I do a lot), these wipes aren’t going to be able to get all of that off. These are better if you just want to refresh your skin or wipe off minimal makeup or you just want to smell coconut on your face! These are going in the glove box of my car for sure to wipe off the messes made on my sweet three kiddo faces on a daily basis because of that gentle for all skin types factor. Extra bonus points that it will make my smelly boys at least smell half way decent when I wipe them down! Oh and they’re biodegradable of course!
I must say, vegan and all natural products don’t have the best of reputation for performance from what I’ve dealt with, but these were impressive. Pacifica also has lots of other great products to offer (I’ve heard their body butters are the bomb) so check them out next time you’re at Target! Which if you’re a mom like me, you’re at Target on the daily.
