I love love springtime. The shades of green popping up in the trees and grass just really make me happy and are a signal of newness and change. So I decided to switch things up and get out of my bathroom (where I usually take my blog pics…boring!) and get into a more beautiful and inspiring setting. Our local State Botanical Gardens of Georgia and their blooms just made sense as the backdrop for my modern day twist on the flower child look.

I was inspired by this flower child eye look I put on my Pinterest board here. I toned it down a bit and made the wings and white liner not as severe and thinner, but just obvious enough to show the separation between the upper and lower liner.
All shadow colors used were from my Naked 3 palette. Specifically : strange, trick, dust, dark side & blackheart blended, in that order shown above. The Milani Fierce Foil glosses were sent to me for review and the “Milan” color (peachy gold) was my favorite of the two with this look. They are both very very sparkly with silver glitter in them! Major fierce shine for sure but the glitter in the pink “Capri” shade seemed a bit overwhelming so that’s why I went with the “Milan.”
When I knew I was going to be shooting at these gardens, this eye makeup look paired with my flower power kimono just seemed like the right combo! I’m OBSESSED with KIMONOS for spring (great over swimsuits too as coverups) and Forever21 by far has the best selection of them at the cheapest prices. I own 4, and want to add more!!
