Last weekend I went on a brunch date with a few other bloggers, Molly, Beth, Elizabeth, and Meredith. And as I was trying to pick out what I was going to wear for an 11am meet up, I decided to go for the easy and effortless denim on denim look with with a splash of accessories.

In the city I live in (Athens, GA) we are all about casual. So brunch doesn’t need to be fussy or fancy. It’s all about effortless style that you can be comfortable in and enjoy your biscuits and bacon!! So for me this makes an easy brunch equation everyone can pull off:
Favorite denim shirt – that is fitted enough, not too blousy or slouchy (go light colored here) +
Dark denim pants – you can go skinny, boot cut, or flared, whatever fits you best! (go dark here because most of us want the slimming on the lower half of our body and dark color are more slimming than light!) + Printed or bold colored shoe – I went leopard print boot, because, well, I’m obsessed with leopard print! + Hat accessory – what’s more brunch-y than a fab head piece?? (no baseball caps though) + 1 or 2 statement pieces of jewelry – a great ring or bracelet that shows off when you’re holding your mimosa 🙂 = Winning Brunch Look!
Before I sported my fave new floppy hat, I reached out over my Instagram account (are you following me yet @JennySueMakeup) to ask my style maven friends what hat etiquette was indoors!! I got a resounding YES you can wear your decorative hat inside! Yay!! Oh, and this Dolly lip polish by Buxom, is a MUST HAVE for anyone!! It is the brands #1 selling shade – so that tells you something. Oh, and we waited out until it was after 12pm so we could enjoy mimosas!! What’s a blogger brunch without champagne??
