This is a photo I took last night of Vivian after she received this early Christmas gift that was delivered to our house from my former boss (many thanks Paula!!). First of all, how nice is that for the woman who I don’t work for anymore to still send my kids wonderful gifts at Christmas?!! It shows the generous spirit of the season that continually amazes me and is the reason I love this time of year so much. (I found a similar fold up light up makeup table here if you’re interested.)
Watching my daughter doing the one thing she loves (that’s just like her mama!) is the reason I decided to write this post. As a blogger and makeup artist, I live to be inspired. So today I want to share with you of some of the people that inspire me on a daily basis by blogging about things they love. The only reason I read and follow certain blogs, is for one thing only – INSPIRATION. And since I love makeup, kids, home style, and fashion (although could always use more help in the fashion and home interior category) I thought I would share with you some of my recent favorite holiday posts from some of my favorite bloggers.
LoveTaza.com :: Naomi is a new mom to 3 (just like me! ok, so it’s not so new anymore with me, but either way!), living in NYC, and is just the cutest thing ever. I not only love her positive vibes she spreads on her blog, but I also dig the way she dresses (kind of boho chic) but her kids are always equally as cutely dressed. She blogs on a little bit of everything, but my recent holiday faves are these 2 posts – Toddler Eats – Holiday Pancakes and Taza’s Hair Tutorial : Twisted Braids.
PoorLittleItGirl.com :: Cathy is actually someone I’ve known for awhile and is the cofounder of Southern Blog Society (which I’m a part of). She lives in D.C. and has a knack for such ladylike dressing, which I feel I could always use a little more of. Her recent post of wearing the most beautiful holiday red skirt with a simple button down, matching red lips, and a blanket scarf and a clutch I’ve seen all over the blogosphere, has me wanting to copy! She’s hilarious in her writing too!
HudaBeauty.com :: First I follow Huda’s Instagram account like it’s my JOB because it’s awesome and she posts her fab beauty looks often as well as shares so many other people’s reposts that I think it’s just so nice of her! Here is one of my favorite makeup videos that isn’t very recent, but would be a great tutorial just in time for Christmas or New Years on how to Black & Gold Smokey Eyes.
WaitingOnMartha.com :: Martha’s blog is a visual delight to look through. She’s so crafty and good at decorating it’s bananas. She’s also right near me as an Atlanta blogger! Here’s a post she did on wrapping the perfect gift – Gift Wrapping 101.
PinkPeonies.com :: Rachels’ home makes me want to sometime kick my own home and start all over – hahaha!! No, I’d never do that, but I do love seeing the inside of this fashion bloggers home and how she decorated for Christmas. Granted it’s a little late to redecorate my own home right now, but I love her color palette of sticking with neutrals, red, white with natural greenery. Maybe next year I can redo my decor… My Home For The Holidays.
The HoneyBee :: Andee is also one of my favorite Instagram accounts to follow (she’s prego with baby #2 – I have a thing for fellow mamas!) and she’s got a gorgeous but simple way of dressing her baby bump, which I’m not afraid to copy NOT being pregnant! Here are a couple of this Cali girls fashion posts I’ve loved – Winter Neutrals and Bomber Style.
Cup Of Jo :: Joanna has a blog I’ve been following for awhile now and she’s one of those women who has a blog of many talents and categories. I don’t host many parties but always want to, so I loved this one on 8 Genius Entertaining Tips (simplicity is key!) plus a yummy Chocolate Peanut Butter Fudge recipe – who doesn’t love chocolate and peanut butter together??
