Hi there November! October is over and now we are now onto the month of thankfulness. I loved this quote because if you’re grateful for something, then you’re basically thankful too, right?? As I watched Vivian play out in our backyard this weekend among this beautiful tree we have, it made me think about a few things I am grateful for from this past weekend that in turn brought me great joy…
* Cooler weather. It finally feels like the holiday season and maybe (hopefully) I can put away my tank tops and sandals! There is something yummy about being able to wear that first scarf and pair of boots when winter weather hits.
^^ Vivian and me at a farm party this weekend all bundled up!^^
* My husband. Oh let me count the ways I’m grateful for him. He agreed to dress up as a magic carpet to go with my Jasmine from Aladdin costume, (thanks Mom for creating both costumes for us!! I can barely sew a button on!). He drove our boys almost 5 hours to attend the Georgia Florida game, because THEY really wanted to go. He got back from that long trip and then took away all of my Halloween stuff to storage (bc I did not want it hanging around the house any longer!), took our daughter on an ice cream date (since she missed out on the Florida trip), and brought me dinner because I didn’t want to cook. He’s SUCH a great dad and husband, I really can’t express it enough.
^^ Jasmine’s magic carpet.^^
^^Family photo. About as good as we could do while Vivian was eating her pizza!!^
^^ Scott and the boys in Jacksonville at the Georgia game. They had a blast despite the loss!^^
* My friends. We host a party at our home every Halloween, and let’s just say this one was for the record books. I think it landing on a Friday night where no one had to worry about school or work the next day, made it even more awesome. Jell-O shots at 36 years old might also have something to do with it!! (hello morning after headache, maybe I’m a bit too old for it, but man was it fun.) But what really makes a party like that, are the people, my friends and their sweet children. Scott and I are really blessed with an awesome circle of friends.
^^ All of our kiddos, the wives, and hubbies, who got all dressed up!^^
* Taco. Ever since we got this little guy after the passing of our Sophie, he has brightened up our home. His spunky little spirit and patience with our three kids man handling him constantly (Vivian probably picks him up 35 times a day like he’s a doll) has been a welcome addition to our home. He brings a constant sense of joy no matter what kind of day any of us is having!
^^Can you even handle the cuteness??^^
It’s amazing how making a short list of things you are grateful for can immediately make you happy! Happy Monday everybody!! What are you most grateful for?
