It’s time to ditch the dark oxblood shades of winter makeup and embrace the feminine watercolor shades of spring!
I recently contributed to the stylish mommy website, ElizabethStreet.com, with an article I wrote on how to incorporate these pretty shades into your makeup routine. You can read my “how to” on their site HERE where they added in some product suggestions.
Here is my personal pictorial on how I added these girly shades into my everyday makeup routine – because pictures speak a thousand words! I started off with just my normal neutral makeup palette of warm taupes and black or brown liner then started to add in these punches of color!
And of course don’t forget your nails in this pastel palette! Pastels come in a huge range of options from buttercup yellow, cotton candy pink, to mint green, so have some fun with your mani. I loved this green I picked because it wasn’t a sickly looking yellow green and had just enough of a cool white base to look super girly. Like I showed here, EVERY eye color can be flattered by a lavender shade of eyeshadow, it just depends on your skin tone as to the intensity you can handle – paler skin likes lighter shades of purple and deep skin tones can go for vibrant and darker lavender!
Will you be incorporating these ladylike shades on your face this spring?
