The holidays are the perfect time to be able to celebrate and support worthy causes. That is why I am so thankful to be able to be a part of an upcoming holiday event here in my city, The Festival of Trees at the Classic Center, along with Zaxby’s to benefit the Extra Special People foundation.
{Our tree theme!}
I agreed to be one of the 50 sponsors who is in charge of decorating a tree, providing a theme that reflects my business, and then that tree will be auctioned off with all proceeds going to the Extra Special People, whose mission is:
ESP empowers children with developmental disabilities to cultivate skills, self-confidence, and relationships through recreational therapy, community involvement, and the arts. With the support of volunteers and donors, the ESP team gives participants and their families acceptance, hope, and the opportunity to not just survive, but to thrive.
Brainstorming meeting with the ladies of burton + BURTON!
Maxine Burton, founder (seated), along with Elizabeth, Erin, Kacie, me, and Jacki!
Luckily, as faith should have it, after I decided to sponsor a tree, I had a meeting with a locally owned business here in town, burton + BURTON, who happen to be the nations leading supplier of balloons and coordinating gift products and have been in business since 1982. You should see their showrooms – WOW- these are some super creative folks who offer just about everything you could ever imagine in the wholesale gift world. So I am teaming up with them to create the best and brightest looking Christmas tree to be auctioned off!
I wanted to keep with the idea of bright, colorful, and unique for this tree as I feel it embodies not only my makeup artistry business, but also these wonderful children of the ESP organization. Here is a sneak peek at some of the fabulous decor that burton + BURTON is providing to beautify this tree. Get ready, there’s a lot of glitter, color, and sparkle involved!

I’m so excited to bring this whole vision together as well as seeing what the other local businesses do with their trees!
*A special thanks to my dear friend Megin, who works closely with the ESP program and asked if I wanted to be a part of this event. She and the other people involved with this organization are the epitome of the true spirit of Christmas.*
If you would like more information on the event, businesses mentioned, and the ESP organization I am providing links below. Come out and support this Classic Center Christmas if you are in the Athens area next week starting December 14th!
