I Instagramed this pic of myself a few days ago saying, “Ever applied a lipstick and thought after a few minutes, uh, this stuff is NEVER gonna come off??”

This was in response to some new liquid lip colors by Wet n’ Wild that I received and was seriously thrown off guard by how long lasting this product actually was once applied.

If you aren’t a lipstick person because you don’t like the feeling of it on your lips, stay away from this product!! I always want lip color on my lips, but these took some getting used to because it’s very obvious they’re on there once applied. These lipsticks are fairly matte in their appearance once applied, not glossy even the shimmery based shades.
Best way to apply :
- They work best with no other products underneath (no balms or lip liners necessary) and with just a few swipes. If you layer these things too much, it starts to feel crazy and way too thick.
- Just outline your lips with the wand then fill in the interior of your lips. I repeat – do not layer! A few swipes to fill in is enough.
- Let dry for at least one full minute before rubbing or licking your lips. You will actually be able to fill it locking into place.
I label these “concrete-like” because they do not budge – seriously. When I wanted to take it off with my oil based waterproof makeup remover, I had to scrub multiple times and actually needed to use my sugar lip scrub to get the remainder off! That’s some major staying power.
I even did the “kiss my kids face test” and nothing came off onto his cute forehead! I’m sure Walker appreciates this product outcome as much as I do – he can’t stand it when lipstick outlines transfer onto his face!!
Overall feeling on these things – I couldn’t wear them everyday because it does feel a bit strange the way they lock onto your lips and feel a bit “suffocating.” But if you are in the market for something not to budge and rich opaque color, then go for it (FYI – I ate greasy cheesy mexican food while wearing these and it didn’t move).
