I am not scared of candy colored lipstick. In fact, with all of the shockingly bright colored lip choices out there this summer, why it makes me feel like a kid in a candy store!!
If you are scared of wearing this pop of color, don’t be. You know why, because you don’t have to do much else with your makeup because you’re making such a statement in that one focal area! I am a big fan of Maybelline’s whole new line of Vivids, and they’ve got a shade for any skin tone.
How I wear it:
1. Fill in your entire mouth with a matching lip liner for a precise mouth. This creates a good base for your lipstick to not feather also.
2. Layer your bright colored lipstick. Apply a layer, then blot with a tissue, then apply a second.
3. For extra staying power, you can add a couple swipes of of loose translucent powder thru a thin layer of tissue on top of your mouth with a small fluffy makeup brush, but this will matte out the lip texture slightly.
