Big PRIMPin' - JennySue Makeup

As I’ve mentioned before here, I am honored to have been brought on as one of the “Power Primpers” for the new beauty app for iPhone, Pretty In My Pocket. This week I was featured on their blog along with my current “Top 5 Beauty Products” I’m loving and wearing daily!

I will reiterate, that if you haven’t already downloaded this app that takes the confusion out of buying beauty products, you should!! The bar code scanner function is the coolest thing in and of itself!! You can scan bar codes on over thousands of products in their system, and a review will pop up from someone (even a Power Primer like myself!) that has already used that specific product and their personal thoughts on it. It’s like having a mini makeup artist/consumer in your pocket – while shopping alone!

Personally testimony – I was just in Target the other day shopping for a cleanser, and just started scanning away at all the different options reading what different women had to say about each one until I decided on one that sounded right for me (I ended up sticking with my Biore Blemish Fighting Ice Cleanser I had already reviewed if you were wondering!).

And speaking of big primpin’, I just got my hair cut – woot woot!! I took Jennifer Aniston as one of my hairstyle inspirations…

I never stray from my long layered look, but I did get some bangs that my stylist (Lyric at Republic Salon here in Athens – she is a hair magician!!), cut into a V shape towards the center of my face. This apparently creates those longer bangs that swoosh perfectly to either side! And yes, to get the Jen Aniston look, you need millions of round brushes during your blow dry!

Now that I’ve got my hair done and my bags almost packed, I’m headed on my last beach vaca for the rest of the year with my hubby and a couple of our closest friends this weekend!! It couldn’t come at a better time and I’m excited to sit in the sand and do absolutely nothing! Blogging will be at a minimal bc I’m turning my brain off for a few days, but you can keep up with me via Twitter and Facebook! I’ll be back next week with lots of new products to review and be full on ready to celebrate Fall and all it has to offer in the world of makeup and beauty!
