Even though there’s a song about a Blue Christmas, I don’t think anyone really wants their holidays to be blue in the way the original heart broken tune goes- or the way Elvis sang it. But I decided to take this “blue” concept and make it work in a good way, for my eyes and nails!!

I have gotten so many compliments on this blue nail look I created last week I figured I would share. I painted my nails a shade of electric blue (Ulta brand “something blue“) then added two coats of multi colored sparkle polish (Ulta “pinata yada yada” although not available anymore, try OPI’s Rainbow from the Muppets Collection) on top, creating a cheerful holiday manicure!!
In addition to my nails, I decided to keep with the blue theme by including my eyes. I took 3 of my favorite blue shades ranging from light, medium, then dark, from my Stila Palette from last year, but this is the newest one available for the holidays. I finished this look off with apricot colored cheeks, clear gloss, and a sparkly headband worn bohemian style for fun!

Even though my Christmas season is turning out to be merry and bright, and not “blue” at all, I do love this vibrant color for these cold drab winter months. And if I had some extra cash laying around (lots), I’d totally buy this and these in blue!!
