I have had a knot in my stomach for a few days now reaching up to this very first day of kindergarten. My husband had to literally tell me “to get a grip” this morning and to chill out over being so worried about sending our oldest (5 years old) off to elementary school.
I have just been finding it hard to come to grips with the fact that I actually have a kid old enough to be in a real school where he isn’t under my wing every moment of the day. He is officially a BIG little kid;-) It sounds so cliche, but it honestly feels like yesterday that this little guy was born into this world.
Never a serious moment in my house.
Here’s the sweet brother duo after their goofy faces. This pic warms my heart.
Luckily after all of my fretting this morning and rising super early to make sure that clothes were pressed, backpacks prepared, breakfast eaten, baby was fed, the lunches were made, the afternoon was a complete success and everything went smoothly. All thanks to a little note with a bible verse that I found on the outside of my middle child’s backpack that put my mind at ease…somewhat;-)
