We all know, that our makeup application is only as good as the tools we use to apply them with.
I’m sure Van Gogh didn’t paint his masterpieces with a plastic watercolor Crayola brush, right??!I wear foundation basically everyday, and have been using the cheap little triangle shape wedges that I get a bag full for like $5, for years. But I’ve always been drawn to the
It’s Sonia Kashuk’s purple/blue version of the beautyblender called the Blending Sponge for $9.99. Clever description, huh?!
Pros:
-
I have found that this oddly shaped sponge, fits nicely in my hand.
-
Gives me great precision when applying my foundation (around the cracks of my nose and chin and hairline)
-
Inexpensive investment so far.
-
I really think it makes my foundation go on better- and when I say better, it’s hard for me to define better, it just seems to make the application go smoother and I don’t get color all over my fingers like when I use the tiny triangle sponges.
Cons:
-
None yet, but I’ve read that this cheaper version from Target doesn’t wash well and tends to crumble. I’ve only had it for 3 days and will wash it soon so I’ll have to add to this blog once I find out.
So take this info for what it’s worth, and if you happen to be a big foundation wear-er and want to try a new way to apply it, I say drop the 10 bucks and see what you think. I’ll definitely be updating this blog in the next week or so to let you know how the washing of the sponge went and to see if it holds up. Have a great beginning of the week!!
